G1D3: Fun with Triops

Generation 1: Day 3

Logan likes dinosaurs, so for Christmas I got him some dinos that we can grow on our own... Triops.  (What the heck are Triops?)  We are following the instructions that came with our kit and as of this morning we have at least 6 baby Triops swimming around right now.  I'll add some pics to this post tonight.

The back half of the instruction manual is kind of a lab notebook and Logan enjoys recording information like water temperature, number of Triops, etc.  We are using a 100W bulb at about 12 inches in order to keep the tank at a steady 80F.  Tonight we will add some food to the tank for the first time.
